These App Terms of Service govern use of The Cash AI app and the backend, synchronization, report-delivery, and support services made available with it (together, the "App Services"). The Cash AI provides the App Services and is referred to as "we", "us", or "our" below.
The public website has separate Website Terms of Use. Information about processing in the App Services is in the App Privacy Policy.
The App helps you record and organize financial information that you provide, including transactions, user-created accounts and categories, groups, currencies, balances, tags, and notes. It can calculate statistics, prepare reports, synchronize data between signed-in devices, and provide optional AI-assisted features. It does not execute payments, trades, transfers, or other financial transactions.
You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age that applies where you live. If you are not old enough to enter into these terms independently, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use. The App Services may be unavailable or restricted in some locations.
These terms apply when you create an account or use the App Services. If you do not agree to them, do not create an account or use the App Services.
The App uses Clerk for passwordless email authentication. You are responsible for access to your email, devices, active sessions, and any in-app security settings you enable. Notify us promptly at support@thecash.ai if you believe your account is being used without authorization.
We may require a supported App version when an update is needed for security, service compatibility, or a data-format change. An unsupported version may be unable to connect until it is updated.
You retain your rights in the information you provide. You give us the limited permission needed to host, synchronize, process, and transmit that information solely to operate features you use, comply with law, and protect the App Services. The App Privacy Policy describes that processing.
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information you add and for keeping an appropriate copy of information you cannot afford to lose. Do not add information about another person unless you have a lawful right to do so.
Optional report analysis and voice transaction input use OpenAI. They run only when requested and are subject to the optional controls and exact inputs described in the App Privacy Policy.
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your circumstances. It is provided for convenience and general information, not as financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. You must review output and make your own decisions. Voice results are editable drafts and do not become transactions until you approve them.
When you request delivery of a report, the App sends it to the primary email address associated with your account. You are responsible for checking the report before requesting delivery and for the security of the receiving mailbox.
Some features may require a subscription. The price, billing period, trial terms, and renewal terms shown at purchase form part of your purchase. RevenueCat is used to manage subscription entitlements.
If you subscribe through Apple, Apple processes the purchase and manages cancellation and refund requests under its terms and applicable law. An automatically renewing subscription continues until it is canceled through the relevant marketplace settings. Deleting your The Cash AI account or uninstalling the App does not cancel a marketplace subscription.
Optional client-side encryption is scheduled for August 2026, but is not part of the App Services unless and until it appears in a released App version. Its planned scope, limitations, and recovery risks are described in the App Privacy Policy; the date may change if security or reliability testing requires it.
Subject to these terms and the rules of the platform from which you obtained the App, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control. The App Services, branding, software, and original content remain owned by us or our licensors. You must not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from them except where applicable law expressly allows it.
You must not:
Clerk, RevenueCat, OpenAI, Apple, and other providers identified in the App Privacy Policy may apply their own terms to the parts of their services you use. You must comply with applicable marketplace and third-party terms.
For an App obtained through Apple's App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the App and its support, subject to applicable law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support and may enforce the provisions that apply to it as a third-party beneficiary. Nothing here reduces a right or remedy available under Apple's terms or applicable law.
We may change or discontinue features to maintain, secure, or develop the App Services. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a material breach, unlawful use, security risk, or legal requirement. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy a breach or export data.
To the extent permitted by law, the App Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free calculations, or that every output will meet your needs. You remain responsible for reviewing your records and decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the App Services. These terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and they do not affect mandatory consumer rights.
You may request account deletion through the App. Deletion is subject to the retention and third-party limitations described in the App Privacy Policy. Account deletion is separate from marketplace subscription cancellation.
We may update these terms prospectively when the App Services, applicable law, or our practices change. We will publish the updated terms and revise the date above. We will give additional notice of a material change, and request a new acceptance where required by law. Changes do not apply retroactively unless applicable law permits and clearly requires that result.
These terms are subject to applicable law. Any dispute must be brought before a court or other forum that has jurisdiction under applicable law. Mandatory rights available to consumers in their place of residence remain unaffected.
Questions, complaints, or claims about the App Services can be sent to support@thecash.ai.
